Past Groups....
You're invited to join us for a 6-week women's group series designed to inspire, uplift and help you feel empowered!
Week 1: The Art of Mindfulness
What would it feel like to be fully present? With our busy, non-stop lives filled with various obligations, it can be so easy to become distracted! In this group session, participants will learn the benefits of mindfulness, meditation, and guided imagery. You will learn methods to overcome your own possible hurdles to practicing mindfulness. You will learn tools, strategies, and tips to focus on the “here and now” and free yourself from mental clutter and distractions.
Week 2: Exploring the Mandala and Applying it in Your Life
A mandala is a symbol of the universe in its ideal form, and its creation signifies the transformation of a universe of suffering into one of joy. You will learn about the mandala and create your own! This group will help you further develop your journey of self-development and how to incorporate the mandala to support wherever your journey takes you - mindfulness, wellness, direction, strength.
Week 3: Tending to Your Emotional Garden
How aware are you of the emotions you experience? How do you tend to your feelings when you notice them? Awareness and validation of your emotions is so crucial to your healing and self-care process. You will learn more about how to not only recognize and acknowledge your feelings, but what to do when you notice them!
Week 4: Self-Soothing and the Five Senses
Do you have a favorite article of clothing that provides feelings of safety or security? An aroma that brings feelings of comfort? You will learn more about the soothing benefits of including the 5 senses into your coping strategies and create your own self-soothing kit to get things started!
Week 5: Namaste
Whether you have never practiced yoga, thought about trying it, or are a seasoned yogi, this group will include a full hour gentle yoga practice with a certified yoga instructor as well as time for discussion and processing.
Week 6: Bringing it All Together
Over the past 5 weeks, you learned a number of different techniques and practices to apply in your life to support you on your journey of well-being. We reflect on what you are taking away from the group sessions and creating your own self-proclamation in committing to your next steps.
Meet your Facilitator, Julia Kline
Julia Kline, LMSW, CAADC believes that even though someone else cannot heal you, it does not mean you have to do it alone. Throughout the course of our lives, we encounter various challenges, stressors, or life events that can take us off-balance.
In her nearly 20 years of experience, she has helped individuals learn how to manage their lives more effectively by incorporating techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
Through her experience facilitating art therapy groups, women’s support groups, addiction recovery groups, and DBT groups, she brings knowledge and expertise to provide a safe and enlightening environment where individuals can feel comfortable expressing themselves while feeling unconditionally supported.
She helps individuals become more adequately equipped to regulate their emotions, practice mindfulness, manage anxiety and/or depressive symptoms, and improve/repair relationships. Through the use of self-expression, she encourages individuals to tap into their creative side to further develop and enhance their coping strategies and self-empowerment.
